What is your biggest shopping pain?

September 26, 2007 at 11:52 pm (Uncategorized) (, , )

I really hate finding something that I love, only to find out that I can’t have it because it doesn’t come in my size. I think everyone has experienced that at some point or another. But there are lots of other pains when it comes to shopping. Plus size stores that use very thin models irritate me. I want to know what the item will look like on me, not on a size 4 model. Dressing rooms in most stores are too small and have bad lighting. How can you sell something that way I wonder? I don’t know about you, but my list could go on and on.

So what is your biggest shopping irritation?

The Birth of Fat Chance Fashions

September 26, 2007 at 9:15 am (Uncategorized) (, , )

Being a plus size woman can be one of the most frustrating things where fashion is concerned. I love beautiful clothes, vintage gems, rockabilly items, new trends and most of all great deals. The problem is that most of the mainstream stores just don’t have anything in my size. It drives me crazy, because I a trying to seize the day. You know, everything says now that you shouldn’t wait until you get to your desired weight to start living. I believe that. I want pretty clothes now, not when I am finally a size 10. ( I just don’t think that the nursing home staff will care what I am wearing anyway..) So my resolution was this- If I want to buy clothes for the woman I am now, the stores ought to sell clothes for the woman I am.

This blog is just a collection of some of the great finds I have made. If you are like me and love great fashion, please take a look around, and let me know what you think!
